"Elijah" is a gorgeous 5-year-old dappled grey Percheron gelding with 4 stocking legs. He is 17 hands tall but doesn't let his size intimidate you. He is a gentle soul that is safe for any level rider. He is a Once-In-A-Lifetime Horse. This amazing gelding has a heart of gold. He is intelligent and really wants to please you. He rides like a little horse. He will one hand neck rein. He has a soft flowing canter. He will walk along the trail easily while you take in the scenery or visit with your friends. You can point him anywhere that you want to go and he will do his very best to get you there safely. He will ease off in the river or across the creek. He eases across ditches and downed trees. He is sure-footed and when you are on his back you feel completely safe. He has been ridden western and English. He will stand by the mounting block for you to mount and dismount. He drives single and double. We have ridden him right up town on Saturday afternoon and the traffic and the excitement does not stress him. He takes every situation with a calm attitude. He will cross bridges and even rides on the railroad tracks. He loves a bath and to be groomed. If Cinderella ordered a horse for her carriage it would be "Elijah". He is the barn favorite that everyone has to stop and pet. He loves attention and really eats that up. In the 17th Century, the Percheron served as a War Horse carrying knights into battle. They have always been known for their stamina, endurance, intelligence, and their loyal dispositions. Lucky for "Elijah", those days are long gone and he gets to spend his life trail riding, pulling the buggy or sleigh, working on the ranch or just being his beautiful self. You will have to look far and hard to ever find another horse like him. They are few and far between. He is not only gorgeous but he is safe.
